For admission in the engineering courses of different government and non-government universities/colleges of Kolkata city will be made through JEE Main exam or WBJEE (West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination). There are also other private universities which organize their own entrance exam for admission in B.E , B.Tech Courses.
The admission for Engineering will be done as per the rank scored by the candidates in the JEE Main exam or WBJEE and 12th or equivalent exam.
Here is the eligibility criteria are given for the admission in B.E, B.Tech Courses, which is mentioned below:
(1) Candidates must pass their 12th or equivalent exam from a well-recognized board.
(2) Candidates have to clear the JEE Main or WBJEE exam securing a good rank.
(3) In the 12th or equivalent exam, candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as a compulsory subject along with the any one of the optional subjects (Chemistry, Computer Science and English).
